What each WordPress hosting plan includes
An email mailbox is an individual address such as name@yourbusiness.com. Five people can each use one mailbox, provided the shared storage limit meets their needs.

Prices exclude VAT. All three plans include hosting and SSL. Managed Hosting and Fully Managed also include a free .com, .net or .org domain name, while Essential Care does not include a domain.
For many small businesses in Malta, five mailboxes cover the owner, reception, accounts, sales and a shared address such as info@. The important detail is storage. Five inboxes share the same allowance, so one person who keeps years of large attachments can use much of it.
What managed hosting changes
Email is only one part of managed hosting. Managed Hosting and Fully Managed back up the site daily, keep backups for six months, monitor security, scan for malware and apply automatic WordPress and plugin updates.
Essential Care suits an owner who is comfortable updating WordPress, plugins and content themselves. It does not include security monitoring or malware scanning. If you want somebody else to keep the site maintained, it is not the right plan.
We often see the result of the opposite choice after a website changes hands. The business has a working site, but nobody knows the WordPress login, domain account or email details. Hosting, domain ownership and email need named access details from the start.

Does this apply to WooCommerce hosting?
Not on every WooCommerce plan. WooCommerce Hosting costs €950 a year and does not include email. WooCommerce Business VPS costs €1,500 a year and WooCommerce Enterprise VPS costs €2,500 a year. Both include Mail Only business email for up to five mailboxes.
Do not assume that the shop email addresses will appear because the website is online. We set up order emails, payment emails and contact forms separately from the mailboxes your staff use. A shop must send these messages reliably, especially during busy tourism and seasonal periods.

When included email is enough
Included email works well if your team needs normal business addresses, uses IMAP or webmail and does not need large individual inboxes. It also keeps website support and basic business email with one Malta based team, which can save time when an address stops receiving messages.
It is less suitable if each person needs a large mailbox, desktop Office applications, Teams, advanced shared calendars or a separate email system. In that case, Microsoft Exchange Online, Microsoft Business Basic or Google Workspace can fit better. These are separate business email services, even when your website sits on our hosting.
Do not remove old email messages simply to stay within a storage allowance. First find out which mailboxes use space and archive messages safely where appropriate. We have fixed inbox issues where oversized attachments, rather than the mailbox count, caused the problem.
Choose the plan by who maintains the website
Choose Essential Care at €240 a year if you can maintain WordPress yourself and only need basic hosting and email. Choose Managed Hosting at €720 a year if you want automatic updates, daily backups and active security care. Fully Managed at €1,440 a year is for businesses that want more hands on support for the website.
